Thoughts by Chris Boudreau

A man dreams backwards, and in waking only creates violence. That’s all his dreams in this world can be. I don’t think setting this in 1925, a period of great societal transition, or having New Zealand play Montana, with its landscapes an exaggeration of the wilderness that encloses us, were absent-minded creative choices. The old west is dying, with all of its violence, vitality, brutal repression, freedom, knowledge, and stupidity.
