Sleepaway Camp 2 is So Unserious

So first things first. I’m not just thinking the original Sleepaway Camp aged like milk, I also think it’s always been just a bad camp slasher.

So wether you’ve watched Sleepaway Camp or just heard about it, rest assured that Part 2 and Part 3 have nothing more in common with the original one other than using its protagonist as a now grown up character.

Sleepaway Camp 2 is closer to the kind of movie the Zucker Brother would be doing than anything resembling even a half serious Camp Slasher.

Pamela Springsteen (yes, she’s Bruce’s sister) is phenomenal in the role of a geeky camp counselor that secretly hates teenagers to death (literally).

Sleepaway Camp 2 is so unserious, it’s the kind of movie that hardly ever gets done anymore.

If you got a dark sense of humor or if you are into Horror Comedies in the likes of Tucker & Dale vs Evil or Shaun of the Dead, give it a shot.
